Welcome Message from the General Chairs

On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 2026 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series on Advanced Materials and Processes for RF and THz Applications (IEEE MTT-S IMWS-AMP 2026), held in Cairns, Australia, from 22-24 July 2026.

IEEE MTT-S IMWS-AMP is a premier international forum for researchers, engineers, industry professionals, and students to exchange the latest advances in advanced materials, manufacturing technologies, and RF, millimetre-wave, and terahertz systems. The workshop promotes technical innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and international engagement while supporting the educational mission of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S). IEEE MTT-S IMWS-AMP 2026 is financially sponsored by the IEEE MTT-S and jointly organised by The University of Sydney, The University of Technology Sydney, James Cook University, Adelaide University, The University of Queensland, RMIT University, and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).

We sincerely thank our sponsors, organising institutions, Technical Program Committee, reviewers, volunteers, and all contributors for their invaluable support. This year's workshop features an exciting technical program of keynote addresses, invited presentations, contributed papers, and poster sessions covering the latest developments in advanced materials and processes for RF and THz applications. We are honoured to welcome distinguished experts from academia and industry, whose presentations will inspire new ideas, foster collaboration, and help shape future research directions.

Beyond the conference, we encourage you to experience the natural beauty of Cairns, the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. We also invite you to learn about the rich cultures and traditions of Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, whose continuous cultural heritage spans more than 65,000 years.

We wish you a productive and enjoyable conference and hope that your time at IEEE MTT-S IMWS-AMP 2026 will be both professionally rewarding and personally memorable. We look forward to welcoming you to Cairns.
